New Delhi: In an effort to stitch a united brand of fabric to challenge the incumbent NDA Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the national capital on Monday. Kumar went to meet Rahul at his residence within hours of reaching Delhi from Patna this afternoon.
This is the first meeting between the two leaders since the JD-U formed government in the state
in alliance with RJD and Congress.
The meeting also comes ahead of Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra. The meeting lasted for about an hour.
Kumar, who quit alliance with BJP recently, is also likely to meet Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, and JDS chief HD Kumaraswami during his visit.
Bihar CM is also scheduled to have strategy meetings with other opposition leaders like NCP stalwart Shard Pawar, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, JDS leader Kumaraswamy and more during his 4 days stay in national capital during the week.
