Nitish Kumar urges people to defer marriage ceremonies due to COVID crisis

Patna, May 5 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday requested the people to defer marriage ceremonies and other social functions in view of the unprecedented crisis due to covid-19.
Through his tweet on social media Mr Kumar said that people gather in such ceremonies and requested them to defer such functions for the time being to break the chain of coronavirus infection in the interest of the society .
The Chief Minister said that his government was initiating several essential steps to safeguard the people from the pandemic and imposed lockdown till May 15.
