Nitish hints CBI probe likely against Lalu in IRCTC scam

Patna: Training guns towards the centre for resumption of CBI probe against Rashtriya Janta Dal ( RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in IRCTC scam, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar alleged that it was all being done as he entered into an alliance with Yadav.
After offering tribute to the former Union Minister and BJP leader Arun Jaitley, Kumar made this comment while talking to the news persons here on Wednesday.
Replying to a query for not participating in the meeting of the Prime Minister to be held on the Namami Gange program, he said that even on an earlier occasion the then Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi who was also holding the related portfolio had attended the meeting held in Uttar Pradesh. He said that the department currently was with Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav who would be attending the meeting and would place all related aspects during the discussion.
The CM said that his government was working for a long time on the issue and had apprised the centre after holding a detailed discussion in 2017.
He further maintained that he had recently attended the Prime Minister’s meeting through video conferencing.
Responding to a query regarding his proposed Yatra the chief minister said that it would commence from January 5 and the program would be finalized after discussion with every district.
He said during the Yatra he would visit places to personally see the work done and would also take feedback on the problems during his Yatra. The CM said that he would interact with every section of society.
When asked about the situation of Covid-A 19 in the state the Chief Minister said that arrangements have been made to test those coming from other places.
Apart from paying extra emphasis for vaccination against Covid currently 40-50 thousand people were being tested for the infection. He asked everyone to remain alert towards corona infection.
After offering tributes to the late Arun Jaitley the chief minister narrated his contacts with the leader and said that both of them shared personnel relations. He also highlighted the works taken up by Jaitley, especially for Bihar.
Nitish Kumar said that after the demise of Jaitley his government decided to observe his birth anniversary as a state function.
