New Delhi, Feb 2 (UNI) Indian Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar on Tuesday took stock of the preparation of President’s Fleet Review and Multinational Naval Exercise- Milan in Visakhapatnam, scheduled later this month. The Navy Chief was on a two-day maiden visit to the Eastern Naval Command. The upcoming edition of Milan is scheduled to be held at Visakhapatnam from February 25 to March 4 this year. It’s going to be the largest with participation of the navies of more than 45 countries. “The Navy Chief embarked ships of the Eastern Fleet and also reviewed the operational preparedness of the fleet in Vishakhapatnam which included weapon firings and Special Forces operations,” Indian Navy said in a statement. Upon arrival he was received by Vice Admiral Biswajit Dasgupta, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command (ENC) at INS Dega and was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour, Indian Navy said. “Admiral R Hari Kumar held discussions with Vice Admiral Biswajit Dasgupta on ongoing issues of the Eastern Naval Command. He was given an overview of the operational and administrative activities of the Command and was briefed on the COVID mitigation measures,” Indian Navy said. The Navy Chief visited key operational and maintenance facilities including the Naval Dockyard and reviewed the progress of ongoing projects. He also addressed the officers and sailors of ENC and interacted with them. The Admiral also visited NSTL to review the Indian Navy’s developmental projects being progressed with DRDO during his visit
