Navodaya School Teacher removed from duty for beating students
Hamirpur (HP): A teacher of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya school in Hamirpur was removed from duty by the school administration for beating up students.
Parents of fifteen students on Saturday had accused the teacher of beating their children mercilessly.
An official school spokesman said that on receiving the complaint, the school administration removed the teacher from duty and constituted a three-member committee for investigation and sought a report by August 11.
The administration has handed over the responsibility of the hostel to another teacher.
On other hand, parents alleged that the injury marks were visible on the body of the students. When the students informed their parents about this on Saturday morning, the parents reached the school to take up the matter.
The teacher said that some students were hitting each other with slippers and making a ruckus in the hostel late at night. (UNI)
