Moong to be procured from mid-June

Bhopal, June 6 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced on Sunday that moong purchase from cultivators – at support price of Rs 7,196 per quintal – is scheduled to commence on June 15 and “peasant brethren” may have their names registered from Tuesday onwards, it was officially learnt.

“Ryots should not harbour concern regarding declining prices of moong. Besides, the gram acquisition deadline has been extended to June 15,” the senior politician averred.
