Mohali (Punjab), Feb 8 (UNI) Virat Kohli is set to play his 100th Test match at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium instead of M. Chinnasamy Stadium in Bengaluru as earlier planned. The upcoming two Tests and three T20 International series against Sri Lanka will be played in a reverse order, Cricbuzz reported. The series will now kick off with T20Is at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on February 24, followed by a second and third game on February 26 and 27 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. The teams will move from Dharamsala to Mohali to play the first Test match from March 3 to 7, which could be Kohli’s 100th Test match. The second Test will be hosted in Bengaluru from March 12 to 16. However, there is no confirmation whether the Chinnasami Test will be a day-night game. “We don’t know if it’s a day-night Test. All we know is it will be from March 12 to 16,” a Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) official said. Kohli’s 100th Test match could have been in Cape Town but a back spasm prevented him from playing the second Test against South Africa in Johannesburg. As such, the third Test, which he played in Cape Town was his 99th in the format. On January 15, Kohli had stepped down as Test captain following the 1-2 series defeat against South Africa.
