Missionaries have made important contribution in development of society: Hemant Soren
Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC) has been working for the last 100 years for the upliftment of poor, needy, backward-weak and tribal society in remote rural areas.
Addressing a program organized on the occasion of 100th anniversary of IPHC at Hotel Maplewood, Siram Toli said that this institute is working to empower the downtrodden class of people by making them stand on their feet.
He said that Jharkhand is considered one of the most backward states as people living in remote rural areas go through difficult life, by reaching among such people the organization is giving them guidance and strength to move forward.
He wholeheartedly thanked the organization from the platform.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that he too got an opportunity to work with mission organizations at many places and to discuss developmental plans.
CM said that the mission institutions have played an important role in the educational and intellectual development of the tribals and indigenous peoples of the state.
In remote areas, where there is a lack of basic facilities like roads, electricity, water, health, education, the mission institutions have done positive work to establish milestones.
The Chief Minister said that it has been his endeavor that all of us together will move forward towards making this state a developed state.
CM said that the people of Jharkhand are of simple nature but sometimes their simple nature is also misused. The people here, being simple and straightforward in nature, do not understand the web of the executive and are deprived of the future plans of the government for which there is a need to stand with them, he added.
