Minister Dr. Balbir Singh hits out at Opposition: ‘Before targeting CM Mann, reflect on your own failures’
Chandigarh: While opposition parties have criticized Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s ‘Rangla Punjab Mission,’ calling it “Kangla Punjab,” Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh strongly defended the initiative in the state assembly. Addressing the House, Dr. Singh said, “Before targeting Bhagwant Mann, the opposition should first reflect on their own generations. Tell us, what have you done for Punjab? You left Punjab impoverished; we are striving to make it prosperous.” Dr. Singh highlighted the performance of the health department during recent floods in Punjab, stating that the teams immediately went to the ground and began relief operations as soon as the floods hit. “We had 170 ambulances deployed across affected areas, providing extensive service and saving lives,” he added. He further urged support for the Chief Minister, saying, “We must stand with CM Bhagwant Mann at this time. Those calling Rangla Punjab ‘Kangla Punjab’ should first reflect on their own shortcomings.” Dr. Singh also criticized the central government, alleging that the Modi administration had ignored Punjab’s requests for funds and had not released a single rupee for the state’s relief efforts.
