Direct flight service from Mumbai to San Francisco will boost industrial and tourism sector in Maharashtra: CM Shinde
Mumbai: Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated Air India’s Mumbai to San Francisco direct flight service late on Friday.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday said that the direct flight service from Mumbai to San Francisco will boost industrial and tourism sector in Maharashtra.
Chief Minister Shinde participated in this program through video conferencing. Secretary of Central Civil Aviation Department Rajeev Bansal, Chief Executive Officer of Air India Campbell Wilson and others were present on this occasion.
Shinde said that this direct service will be important to promote tourism as San Francisco is an economic and cultural hub.
Over 1.5 lakh passengers travel through Mumbai International Airport daily.
