McLeodganj, Dharamshala cops gear up to ‘welcome errant revelers’ on NY Eve

Dharamshala, Dec 30: Kangra police has been geared up in McLeodganj and Dharamshala on New Year Eve to maintain law and order and provide better facilities to visiting tourists.
Kangra district police Chief Mr. Kaushal Sharma told UNI on Thursday evening that the police was informing that like every year, this year too, thousands of tourists from different states of the country are expected to come to McLeodganj to celebrate the new year, so the district police has organized traffic arrangements in Dharamsala and McLeodganj, and to maintain law and order in McLeodganj area and for the safety of tourists the tourist station McLeodganj has been divided into six sectors and Dharamshala into five sectors and adequate number of police personnel have been deployed to guide the general public.
Kangra district police Chief Mr. Kaushal Sharma told UNI on Thursday evening that he was appealing to the general public to fully co-operate

with the police and ensure to follow the guidelines issued by the government in the context of Covid-19 such as wearing of masks, social distance etc. and and suggested to park their vehicles at the marked places so that the traffic jams could be avoided.
SSP said that in this context, time-to-time announcement will also be made by the police station in-charge through mega phone through the vehicle in their respective areas.
