New Delhi: Six of the top-10 most valued firms in India saw a substantial rise in market capitalisation last week, collectively adding Rs 86,847 crore, with HDFC Bank and Reliance Industries leading the charge.

The BSE benchmark index rose by 657.48 points (0.84%) and the Nifty by 225.9 points (0.95%) during the week, boosting overall investor sentiment.

HDFC Bank added Rs 20,235.95 crore to its market cap, reaching a valuation of Rs 13,74,945.30 crore.
Reliance Industries saw a rise of Rs 20,230.9 crore, bringing its market value to Rs 16,52,235.07 crore.
ICICI Bank grew by Rs 15,254.01 crore to Rs 9,22,703.05 crore,
ITC added Rs 17,933.49 crore to reach Rs 5,99,185.81 crore,
Bharti Airtel gained Rs 11,948.24 crore to touch Rs 9,10,735.22 crore,
Hindustan Unilever rose by Rs 1,245.29 crore to Rs 5,49,863.10 crore.
However, the market valuations of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, State Bank of India (SBI), and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) faced a decline.

TCS dipped by Rs 36.18 crore to Rs 15,08,000.79 crore,
Infosys saw a decrease of Rs 2,283.75 crore,
SBI tumbled by Rs 11,557.39 crore, and
LIC dropped by Rs 8,412.24 crore.
Despite these setbacks, Reliance Industries remains the most valuable domestic firm, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, and other top companies in the market rankings.
