Maulana Umar Gautam’s son arrested in relation to the conversion racket
Lucknow, Nov 7(UNI) Uttar Pradesh ATS has arrested Abdullah, the son of Maulana Umar Gautam, in connection with the conversion syndicate from Batala house in Jamia area of Delhi on Sunday.
This is the 16th arrest made by ATS in the conversion racket with Maulana Umar Gautam and Maulana Kalim Siddique being among them and now Abdullah too has been arrested.
Sources said that during investigation it was found that over Rs 57 crores were funded through Hawala for this conversion racket. The funds were given to Maulama Umar Gautam and his son Abdullah . The funds were transferred from middle east countries and USA.
Abdullah used to distribute these funds to the people working in the conversion racket.
Sources said that it was found that Abdullah received Rs 75 lakhs in his bank account out of which Rs 17 lakhs was from foreign sources.
