New Delhi : A massive fire broke out early morning at a factory located in Bawana industrial area in Delhi NCR. The incident occurred around 4:50 AM, when authorities received reports of fire engulfing the premises. Immediately, 17 fire trucks rushed to the scene to tackle the blaze and begin rescue operations.
According to the fire department officials, the fire escalated quickly and was accompanied by multiple loud explosions which caused the building to collapse partially. The collapsed structure intensified the challenges faced by the emergency responders at the site. Firefighters have been tirelessly working to control the fire and ensure the safety of anyone trapped inside.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined but initial assessments suggest a possible electrical short circuit or a chemical reaction due to the factory’s industrial materials. Authorities have cordoned off the area and are urging locals to stay clear of the vicinity to allow smooth rescue and firefighting efforts.
Emergency services are coordinating with local hospitals and disaster management teams to provide timely medical assistance to any injured individuals. So far, there have been no official reports of casualties but search operations continue to confirm the same.
The factory housed various industrial goods, some of which are believed to be highly flammable, complicating containment efforts. Smoke from the fire was visible from several kilometers, causing panic among nearby residents and workers.
Officials stated that they are investigating all possibilities including negligence or safety protocol violations that may have contributed to the disaster. They assured the public that a thorough inquiry will be conducted once the situation stabilizes.
This incident highlights the urgent need for stricter safety measures in industrial zones across Delhi NCR. The fire department is also reviewing their preparedness to handle such large-scale emergencies more effectively in the future.
Residents and workers affected by the fire have been provided temporary shelters and relief materials. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely as the fire continues to smolder in some parts of the factory debris.
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available and the rescue efforts proceed.
