Major General Prashant Srivastava takes over as GoC CIF

Srinagar, Nov 7 (UNI) Major General Prashant Srivastava on Sunday took over as General Officer Commanding GOC Counter Insurgency Force (Victor) in place of Major General Rashim Bali, who has been moved to Delhi on an important assignment in Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army).

Major General Srivastava was commissioned into an elite Parachute Battalion of the Special Forces on 9 June 1990 and has served in the intense Counter Insurgency, Counter Terrorist environment in Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and the North East.
