Mahant Narendra Giri’s death case: CBI seizes Anand Giri’s laptop and iPhone
Prayagraj, Sep 30 (UNI) The CBI team probing the suspicious death of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad president Mahant Narendra Giri confiscated laptop and iPhone belonged to Swami Anand Giri who is accused in the case.
On Tuesday, after getting a seven-day remand of Anand Giri, the team left Prayagraj for Haridwar. The CBI conducted search operation at his Ashram in Haridwar and also questioned some of the Ashram’s members. The CBI team has seized Anand Giri’s laptop and iPhone, sources here on Thursday said.
Four-member CBI team returned to Prayagraj with Anand Giri by IndiGo flight this afternoon from Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. The CBI team landed at Bamrauli Airport.
According to sources, the CBI team did not get the DVR from Shyampur Kangri, the ashram of Anand Giri in Haridwar.
The deceased Mahant had accused Anand Giri, Aadhya Prasad Tiwari and his son Sandeep of harassing in the ‘suicide note’. According to the police, prima facie it was appeared to be a case of suicide.
The Mahant was found dead in his Ashram’s room on September 20 here.
