Khalistani Terrorist Pannun Defends Illegal Trucker Who Killed 3 in Florida Crash

New Delhi —Khalistani separatist and designated terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has come out in defense of Harjinder Singh, a Punjab-origin truck driver who is facing three counts of vehicular homicide in Florida, USA.
Singh, who entered the US illegally in 2018, caused a fatal accident on August 12 by making a prohibited U-turn while driving a tractor-trailer on the Florida Turnpike. The crash resulted in the deaths of three people, US authorities confirmed.
Despite not representing Singh legally, Pannun—who is also a practicing attorney—held a press conference outside the St. Lucie County Jail, expressing sympathy for the accused. According to CBS News, Pannun said Singh was grieving and wished he could undo his “misjudgement.”
“There have been three lives that have been lost. We should be grieving with the families and supporting them, not turning this into a political debate about Harjinder’s status,” Pannun stated.”
In what many view as a political spin, Pannun claimed Singh feared persecution in India for his “pro-Khalistani views” and fled the country in 2018. This is a common narrative used by many illegal immigrants in the US, UK, and Canada to avoid deportation, claiming religious or political persecution in India.
Singh managed to obtain a commercial driver’s license in California despite being in the country illegally.
A petition calling for Singh’s release has gained momentum online, amassing over 1.6 million signatures so far. However, US authorities continue to treat the case as a criminal matter involving reckless driving and illegal immigration.
Pannun, the founder of banned organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), has been designated a terrorist by India for inciting separatism and issuing threats against major Hindu religious events, including the Ram Mandir consecration and the Mahakumbh.
This latest attempt to politicize a tragic accident involving an illegal immigrant underscores Pannun’s ongoing efforts to gain international attention and push the Khalistani agenda.
