Kerala reports 44 more Omicron cases, total cases rise to 108
Thiruvananthapuram, Dec 31: 44 more people tested positive for the Omicron variant of COVID-19 on Friday taking the total cases to 108 in Kerala so far, Health Minister Veena George said.
Twelve people tested positive in Ernakulam, eight in Thiruvananthapuram, 10 in Kollam, four in Thrissur, two each in Palakkad, Malappuram, Kottayam and Kannur and one each in Alappuzha and Idukki.
In view of Omicron cases rising rapidly in Kerala, the Minister urged people to take utmost care and follow COVID protocols, so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic.
