KCR, Kumaraswamy condemn anti-farmer polices of BJP govt at Centre
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Sunday condemned the anti-farmer policies being adopted allegedly by the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.
The NDA government is acting as an anti-farmer government and is indulging in conspiracies to undermine domestic agriculture.
The two leaders discussed several issues at a meeting held in Pragathi Bhavan here after Kumaraswamy called on KCR this afternoon.
They opined that the BJP is not only degraded agricultural sector but also economic, social and other sectors.
Like In Telangana, the Chief Minister explained the former Chief Minister that in agriculture-based India, all agricultural development schemes including uninterrupted electricity and other incentives given to farmers, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima, and waiver of farmers’ loans can be implemented across the country.
In this direction, the two leaders discussed the negligence of the Central rulers in the 75 years of independent India.
KCR said that the leaders of many farmers’ associations from across the country had recently visited the state and toured the fields after learning about the farmer welfare and agricultural development programs implemented in Telangana.
They were surprised after learning about irrigation, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bhima etc. schemes implemented
by the Telangana government.
The farmers’ associations also demanded him to foray into national politics and take measures to ensure that they also get 24 hours free electricity, irrigation water, Rythu Bandhu, and Rythu bhima, like in Telangana.
The Chief Minister told Kumaraswamy about the discussions that took place for 3 days with farmers associations, an official release tonight said. (UNI)
