Bengaluru: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday called on former prime minister and JD(S) leader HD Devegowda at his residence here and discussed various topics of national importance.
“Hon’ble CM of Telangana Shri K Chandrashekhar Rao visited me at my residence, today. We exchanged views on various topics of national importance. It was a candid and cordial meeting,” Gowda said in a tweet.
The tweet was attached with photographs of Gowda family welcoming KCR with a bouquet and discussing with him.
In the past few months, KCR has been making a bid to unite regional parties and criticizing BJP and PM Narendra Modi on several issues.
KCR also expressed his desire to meet West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee. He has already met Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and Nationalist Congress Party supremo Sharad Pawar.
Last week, he visited Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. He also visited Punjab and warned the central government to give farmers the right price for their produce.
KCR is expected to visit Ralegan Siddhi near Pune in Maharashtra and meet veteran social activist Anna Hazare.
After offering prayers at the Saibaba temple in Shirdi, he will return to Hyderabad.
In April, KCR organized a huge protest in Delhi, warning PM Modi not to ‘unfairly treat the farmers’ when in power and urged him to implement ‘one nation, one food grain procurement policy’.
As KCR met Gowda and his family, PM Modi was in Telangana. In a public speech, he flayed TRS government over dynastic politics.

Tearing apart PM Narendra Modi government’s policies, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday said people will get sensational news at national level in next two to three months.
“One thing I want to remind you. The other day I was there before the Karnataka election. I said I would come back to the swearing-in ceremony of Kumaraswamy and my words were proven to be right and he became the chief minister. And this time I assure you there is going to be a change at the national level. None can stop it. Too many talks are flying around. But India will change. India should change and rise beyond isms and speeches. Like Kumaraswamy said, after two or three months, you will get sensational news. No more questions. Thank you,” he told reporters here
