Kangra: Woman suspect drug Peddler arrested under NDPS Act

Dharamshala: One woman was arrested under Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Channi falling under Damtal police station in Kangra district after heroin was seized from her residence besides cash was also recovered, Police said here on Thursday.
Kangra District Senior Superintendent of Police Kaushal Sharma told UNI that under Police Station Damtal, police recovered 6.87 grams of heroin from the house of Sukhwanti, a resident of Channi, in this district late Wednesday night during a raid on her house.
SSP said that police also recovered unaccounted cash of Rs 10,450.
SSP said that police arrested the accused woman under Section 21-61-85 of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and the investigation was in progress.(UNI)
