Kaithal DC Urges Timely Delivery of Benefits, Encourages Women Sarpanches’ Engagement

Kaithal : Kaithal Deputy Commissioner Preeti, along with Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kalia, visited Majra Roheda village for an overnight public outreach programme, following a call from Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. During the visit, they listened to the grievances of villagers and emphasized the importance of timely delivery of benefits from government schemes.

DC Preeti urged officials to move beyond verbal assurances and ensure clear, actionable responses to applicants, especially those who are ineligible, while making sure that eligible individuals receive their benefits within the specified time frame. She also encouraged women sarpanches to play an active role in village administration, conduct regular checks on institutions like schools and health centers, and report any issues to the district authorities.

Various departments set up exhibitions in the village to showcase their schemes and collect applications. Key concerns raised by villagers included issues with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, encroachments, delayed pensions, and water supply at the stadium. SP Rajesh Kalia addressed a death-threat complaint and assured immediate action. DC Preeti ordered a survey on crop residue burning and directed the timely initiation of work under MGNREGA to provide employment for laborers.

The DC highlighted the importance of the night stay programme, aimed at resolving issues directly and ensuring that government benefits reach the people without delay. She also encouraged unity, traffic safety, and adherence to road regulations to safeguard the community.
