J&K : Kavinder Gupta slams Mehbooba for supporting India bashers, anti-nationals

Jammu, Oct 26 (UNI) Taking note of the gesture shown by the Peoples Democratic Party Chief Mehbooba Mufti in favour of India bashers who raised slogans against the country and were booked under UAPA Act, senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta said that role played by former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir in this matter is highly objectionable as the same can dent the interests of the country.
“BJP Government at the Centre is toeing a pragmatic line to ensure all the basic amenities to the people at their doorsteps but the bottlenecks raised by the anti-national elements in the UT are snarling the efforts,” the former Deputy Chief Minister stated while interacting with number of deputations.
He said that instead of bringing back the people into mainstream political representatives in Kashmir including Mehbooba are abetting anti-national stance which is proving deleterious for the country in general and UT in particular.
Mr Gupta questioned the stand of Mehbooba with regard to supporting those who raised anti-India slogans after the country lost a match of cricket to Pakistan.
He said that Mehbooba and her ilk are responsible for many problems in Kashmir as they are toeing a line which is totally against the interest of the country.
