Dubai : India’s pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, has been awarded the Sir Garfield Sobers Award for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year for 2024, recognizing his remarkable performance across formats. The 31-year-old delivered a master-class in skill and precision, becoming a key figure in India’s success throughout the year.
Bumrah was also named the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year and featured in the Test Team of the Year. His 2024 was record-breaking, with 15 wickets in India’s victorious T20 World Cup campaign and a remarkable 71 wickets in 13 Test matches. His stellar year included setting the highest ICC Test bowling ranking for any Indian bowler, surpassing 900 points.

Bumrah’s consistency, including a record-breaking 907 points, cemented his reputation as the world’s premier fast bowler. His 15 wickets at an average of 8.26 in the T20 World Cup and his 32 wickets in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy highlighted his excellence.
