ISRO launches seven Singaporean satellites.

ISRO was able to successfully deliver seven satellites belonging to Singapore into their planned orbit. This ISRO mission, which comes after the launch of the highly anticipated Chandrayaan-3 earlier this month, is being carried out by the commercial part of the organisation known as NewSpace India Limited (NSIL).

SRIHARIKOTA: ISRO successfully launched seven Singaporean satellites on Sunday from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in this city and put them in their respective orbits.

The primary satellite separated 23 minutes after takeoff, followed by six more co-passenger spacecraft that were subsequently launched into their designated orbits.

Following the eagerly anticipated Chandrayaan-3 launch earlier this month, the ISRO’s commercial branch, NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), is carrying out this mission.

According to ISRO Chairman S. Somanath, “The PSLV-C56 carrying seven satellites, including primary satellite DS-SAR and six co-passenger satellites, have been successfully placed in the right orbits.”

After a 25-hour countdown that started on Saturday, the 44.4-meter-tall rocket majestically blasted out from the first launch pad at this spaceport one minute after the scheduled 6.30 am liftoff time, sending heavy fumes trailing behind it.

Today’s intended launch time of 6.30 am was later changed to 6.31 am due to the possibility of the rocket encountering space junk on its way to the orbit.

“When space debris enters the rocket’s course, the lift-off time changes. That is what took place today, an ISRO representative told PTI.

“This is the PSLV mission for NSIL, and I want to congratulate the customers sponsored by the Government of Singapore for having this mission on board PSLV and their continued faith in our PSLV for deploying the spacecraft (satellites) from Singapore,” Somanath said at the Mission Control Centre.
