Israel carries out rocket strikes on Gaza Strip

Jerusalem: The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said on Saturday it has carried out strikes against a weapons manufacturing facility and three military posts in the Gaza Strip in response to a rocket launch from the enclave.
Earlier in the day, IDF said that one rocket has been fired from the Gaza Strip to Israel but has been intercepted by an air defence system.
“Some time ago, in response to rocket fire, Israeli army fighter jets and aircraft struck a number of Hamas terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip. The strike targeted a weapons manufacturing facility inside a Hamas military post and three additional Hamas-owned military posts in the Gaza Strip,” the IDF said in a statement.
The IDF added that Israel blames Hamas for the threats emanating from the Gaza Strip. (UNI/SPUTNIK)
