Israel-America joint raids escalate Gulf tensions: Is WW-III imminent?
Israel-Arab conflict is centuries old, earlier than the establishment of a Jewish state in 1949 at the ancient city Jerusalem
Though US has grabbed the first strike advantage, Iran has struck back hard and damaged atleast 8 US bases in the Gulf, demonstarting its strength to match the attacking forces
Chandigarh/New Delhi: The Joint pre-emptive military strike by Israeli an
d American forces against Iran, with explosions as reported in Tehran and other Iranian cities has a disastrous potents for global peace. Israel said the operation was meant to “remove threats” from Iran’s nuclear and missile programs. The strike, described by Israeli officials as planned in coordination with the United States, triggered airspace closures and emergency measures on both sides.
Undoutedly the United States is participating in the attack with full commitment, with U.S. military action accompanying Israeli strikes providing satellite imaging for pointed attacks, strategic support with its Naval strength posted in the region and providing necessary inputs to top Israeli defence personnel.
The US President Donald Trump has announced several times that he won’t allow Iran to achieve any capability to make Nuclear Bombs and for this he would go to any extent, may be destroy Iranian Uranium processing plants or removing Ayatullah Khomeini regime in Iran and posting a regime of his choice (read former king Reza Pehlavi’s son (living in the States) since Iranian revolution of 1979 led Ayatullah Khomeini.
This Israeli attack is the culination of retalliatary action of Hizbullah’s October 7, 2023 attacks that sparked the Gaza war, Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups abducted over 250 civiliasns from Israel to the Gaza Strip, including children and women which infuriated peace loving citizen’s world over. It was a big setback to peaceful co-existence and efforts to assuage sufferings of Covid-19 which annihiliated millions of people before any remedy Vaccine could have been discovered and administered.

Iran’s Retaliation : Iran has launched retaliatory missiles and drones at Israel and 9 U.S. military bases across the Middle East, including countries like Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE and others. Iranian leaders have vowed “no leniency” and framed the strikes as defending national sovereignty.
It is reported that initial missile🚀 barrages caused minimal reported damage in Israel due to strong air defenses, but sirens sounded in the histoical city Jerusalem and other locations, and emergency measures (school closures, state of emergency) are in place. The conflict builds on long-standing tensions over I
ran’s nuclear program, missiles, and regional influence. Prior flare-ups have included intense exchanges of airstrikes and missile barrages between the two countries and their allies, as well as a ceasefire in June 2025 after a brief full-scale war.
This represents one of the most serious flare-ups since the broader Israel–Iran conflict began, with major military operations underway and no immediate sign of de-escalation. There is strong international concern that the conflict could widen, involving U.S. regional forces, proxies (like Hezbollah), and other Gulf states, and have broader impacts on global energy markets and geopolitical stability.
The flare-up in the Gulf, needs to be halted without delay and all contigous issues be solved thru’ mutual negotiations or thru’ UNSC Charter guidelines for solving international disputes. UN chief Antonio Guterres should call for a meeting between main warring nations and implement the negotiated settlements.
Major global leadfers including President Putin of Russia criticised the U.S.–Israel strikes as “unprovoked aggression” and demanded an end to the military campaign, calling for diplomacy. European leaders from France, Germany, UK and Indian Pm have called for urgent UNSC meeting on the crises and ceasefore, though positions differ sharply. International concern is growing about the humanitarian and regional security impacts.
If an urgent negotiated solution is not found urgently, the world is going to slip into a worse and bloody anarchy and World War -III. —- Editor
