Industrialisation of Bihar will now become a reality: Nitish

Patna, Jun 18 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar exuded his confidence that industrialisation of the state would now become a reality as attempts for the purpose were being made sincerely with coordination of all stakeholders.
Mr Kumar while launching Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyami and Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami scheme here at a function organised through video conferencing, said that the schemes launched today would help immensely in increasing self employment of women and youths. Since 2005, when his government was voted to power, a number of steps were taken for women empowerment in Bihar, he said adding that his government had always been striving hard to make women empowered and self reliant.
Chief Minister said that in the year 2006, government had given 50 percent reservation to women in Panchayati Raj institutions while the same facility was given to women in local bodies in the year 2007. Women were also given 50 percent reservation in primary teachers recruitment and 35 percent reservation were are given to them in all government services, he added.
Mr Kumar said that provision had also been made for posting of women officials and staff in all government offices. In the year 2006, creation of self help groups of women was started and more than 10 lakh self help groups had been constituted so far in the state he added.
Chief Minister also launched a portal prepared by industry department. State Industries Minister Shahnawaz Hussain also spoke on the occasion while Power Point presentation was given by additional chief secretary of industry department Brajesh
Mehrotra.
