Engine failure forces Indigo flight to land in Patna.

PATNA: On Friday morning, an Indigo flight headed for Delhi experienced mechanical difficulties and had to make an emergency landing at the Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport in Patna, Bihar.

Airport officials claim that at 9:11 AM, the IndiGo flight 6E 2433 headed for Delhi made an emergency landing at Patna airport due to an inoperative engine.

“Three minutes after taking off from Patna airport, Indigo aircraft 6E 2433 to Delhi reported one engine not working. At 09:11, the aeroplane made a successful landing. The airport’s operations are running smoothly, according to the airport director.

When probable tyre debris was spotted on the runway after Air India’s Delhi-Paris flight took off, Delhi air traffic controllers warned the flight crew, prompting them to turn around and return to the airport from where they had taken off. This happened earlier in July.

At 2:18 PM, the aeroplane successfully landed in Delhi, according to an Air India official.
