PM Modi gifts a Tree to King Charles III: A Symbol of Tribute to their Mothers
London: The King Charles III received the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, this afternoon.
The two dignitaries met at Sandringham House, the Royal country house in Norfolk England. During their time together, His Majesty was given a tree to be planted this Autumn, inspired by the environmental initiative launched by the Prime Minister Modi, “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”, which encourages people to plant a tree in tribute to their mothers.
According to Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), both the leaders discussed bilateral issues and progress in India-UK ties. They also discussed to promote Ayurveda, Yoga and Mission LIFE (Lifestyle For Environment) in UK.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Britain Keir Starmer and Indian PM Narendra Modi had signed the FTA (Free Trade Agreement) for foregoing dual taxation in trade between the two countries. It is believed an increase of $ 34 Billion worth of bilateral trade will be possible annually, between the two through FTA. (with inputs from PIB and X)
