India to become eco superpower following Buddha’s path: CM Yogi
Varanasi: Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath Friday said that by embracing compassion and humility of being an ardent follower of Buddhism India will soon emerge as the third economic superpower in the world under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the support of all 135 crore countrymen.
Addressing Sadbhavana Samaroh in Sarnath, Varanasi, Yogi said, “Under PM Modi’s vision of empowering and uplifting every section of the society by benefitting them through various welfare schemes without any kind of discrimination, India achieved the feat of becoming the world’s fifth largest economy. Soon, it will also become the third economic superpower by following the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’.”
The CM on the occasion released two books, ‘Modi@20: Dreams Meet Delivery’ and ‘Heartfelt: The Legacy of Faith’ by NID Foundation of Delhi.
He said that the country under PM Modi is emerging as a powerful nation in every possible way. “The Mantra of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vishwas’ has become a mantra of goodwill today,” he said.
Stating that India has been an ardent follower of Buddhism and has followed the teachings of Lord Buddha religiously, the CM said, ‘India is working to establish peace and harmony in the world without keeping any kind of negativity for any other country. The kind of recognition Indian heroes are getting today globally was not possible earlier.”
CM Yogi also launched a scholarship program of Rs 64 crore by the Chancellor of the Punjab University, Satnam Singh Sandhu, for economically weaker and meritorious Sikh students of Varanasi in Chandigarh University.
The CM also visited and offered prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath and the Kaal Bhairav Temples in Varanasi. It may be noted that as the CM, Yogi has so far visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple about 90 times and Varanasi more than 100 times. (UNI)
