‘Inconvenience Caused Is Regretted…’: Minister Sanjeev Arora on power cuts across Punjab
Chandigarh: Expressing regret over the inconvenience caused to consumers, Punjab Minister Sanjeev Arora on Wednesday said that the planned power outages across the state are essential for upgrading infrastructure and improving electricity supply in the long run.
The Minister emphasised that the scheduled shutdowns, as announced by Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, are part of a systematic effort to strengthen the power distribution network and ensure more reliable and efficient services for consumers.
He acknowledged that while the outages may cause temporary disruption, they are necessary to modernise the system and address long-standing issues in power supply. “The inconvenience caused is regretted, but these improvements will greatly benefit consumers in the long run,” he said, urging the public to cooperate during the ongoing upgrade work.
The Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has been carrying out planned outages in multiple areas as part of its maintenance and system strengthening drive aimed at delivering uninterrupted and quality power supply across Punjab.
