HP Ind Minister performs ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of data centers near Nadaun

Hamirpur (HP), May 3:  on Tuesday performed ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of data centers of Vuenow Infotech, an Innovative EDC (Edge Data Center) company in India at Rit village of the Nadaun sub division of Hamirpur district. Speaking on occasion, the industries minister said that the main aim of the state government was to provide jobs to the local people by inviting industrialists across the country to set up their units in the state. He said that it was a matter of pride that one of the main centers would be established in Hamirpur district. The Bhoomi Pujan was done in the presence of Mr. Vijay Agnihotri, Vice Chairman HRTC, Himachal Pradesh and team of Department of Industries, government of Himachal Pradesh. Management of Vuenow Led by the Founder Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Kharour and Director Abhaydeep Singh Mutti along with all the top officials of the company were also present during the ceremony. It’s worth mentioning here that the Vuenow Infotech, an Innovative EDC (Edge Data Center) company in India with COLOCATIONS and own EDCs in various parts of the country, had signed an MoU with Government of Himachal Pradesh to create Main Data center, Edge Data Centre, Assembly unit and Skill Development centers in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The MOU was signed by the Department of Industries, Government of Himachal Pradesh, and Group Vuenow in the month of December 2021. The total investment pledged in Himachal Pradesh is Rs. 969 CR in the phased manner which will give direct employment to around 700 people in the state, apart from indirect contractual work to about 2000 families. Sukhwinder Singh said, “Apart from setting up the DCs and EDCs, the company also plans to open skill development centers across the state to train youth in IT skills and then absorb them into the company’s technical departments, thus generating a lot of employment in Himachal.” VueNow Infotech Pvt Ltd was formed in 2019 with the aim to become India’s most preferred compute power and data storage provider. The company is well on the way to establishing the largest edge computer network by 2025. It is also in talks with various state governments and central government departments to create highly robust, efficient and balanced data management networks for them. This will also create multi skill level job opportunities, encourage local businesses to adopt cutting edge technologies, and facilitate various e-governance and smart-government projects. (UNI)
