HP High Court: All Forest Guards in Himachal to Receive 2022 Pay Scale, Benefits from 2020

Himachal Pradesh High Court has ordered that all forest guards hired on a contractual basis in the state will be entitled to the 2022 pay scale, with the benefits retroactive to 2020. This significant ruling applies to all forest guards appointed before 2022. The court emphasized that the government cannot deprive employees of their rightful financial benefits. The court’s decision will impact all forest guards appointed under the 2019 contract, and after the court’s order, they will now receive the 2022 pay scale.
Additionally, the court has ruled that the number of district judge positions in the state will increase from 25 to 35, with some judges eligible for the selection grade and super time scale based on seniority and service duration.
