HP: Four persons washed away in swollen rivlut at Manikaran
Shimla, Aug 7(UNI) One woman drowned and three others are missing as four people were washed away in the swollen Brahmaganga rivlut of Manikaran valley in Kullu district of Himachal on Saturday.
An information received from District Emergency Operation Centre Kullu (01902-225630) on Saturday August 7, 2021 at 08:25 PM, in this incident 4 persons were washed away while they were crossing the inflated rivlut in which one woman died in the mishap. Her body was recovered from Pandoh dam.
The deceased was identified as Poonam Devi W/O Rohit Kumar Age (24) Village Brahm Ganga Post office Manikarn tehsil Bhuntar District Kullu.
Three others could not be traced. Search operation was going on along the river bank and in the dam.
In the district death toll went up to 17 during the rainy season and seven people missing or washed away in the district so far.
