Hisar Flight Delayed, Ayodhya Passengers Depart Late..
Flight from Delhi arrives 2.25 hours late; 64 passengers fly from Hisar to Ayodhya..
Hisar : A commercial flight from Delhi to Hisar faced a significant delay of approximately two hours and fifteen minutes due to inclement weather conditions on Saturday. The delay disrupted the schedule at Hisar Airport and impacted passengers traveling onward to Ayodhya. Originally expected to arrive on time, the aircraft finally landed at Hisar much later than planned, leading to a cascade of rescheduling and passenger inconvenience.
After landing, the connecting flight to Ayodhya departed with 64 passengers onboard, most of whom were either tourists or pilgrims heading to the sacred city. Despite the delay, airport authorities ensured smooth boarding and provided necessary assistance to maintain calm and order among the waiting passengers. Many of the travelers expressed their disappointment over the delay but appreciated the coordination and communication from airport staff during the waiting period.
This incident has once again highlighted the sensitivity of regional air travel schedules to changing weather patterns, especially during the pre-monsoon transition period in North India. Visibility issues and unpredictable wind conditions were cited as the major causes of the delay by the airline. Meteorological experts have also predicted more such disruptions in the coming weeks due to ongoing atmospheric changes.
Officials at Hisar Airport confirmed that all security and logistical protocols were followed despite the delay. Emergency and safety drills were also in place, and passengers were kept updated through announcements and support staff. The flight to Ayodhya, once cleared for take-off, proceeded smoothly and reached its destination without further issues.
This marks one of the few operational challenges faced by the relatively new Hisar Airport, which has been trying to establish itself as a reliable regional hub for commercial flights. The growing interest in religious tourism, especially towards Ayodhya, is expected to lead to more frequent flights and better infrastructure planning in the coming months.
Passengers are advised to check weather forecasts and real-time flight updates before traveling, especially when flying between cities known for frequent weather-related disturbances. The airline has assured customers of better contingency measures and has taken note of the feedback from today’s experience.
