Himachal: Popular and tireless performer Vijay Agnihotri seeks his reward in Nadaun
Nadaun has a dozen candidates in fray, including AAP, BSP and some rebels from main BJP, Congress parties
Nadaun/HP: Since the BJP workers are known for their commitment to service and hard work for the public welfare, before asking for recognition, the party candidate Vijay Agnihotri is seeking resident voters’ blessings in the assembly polls scheduled for this weekend, on Nov. 12.
Nadaun is a very old city of the state, capital of old Riyasat of Nadaun Rajas, yet it is a very calm and peaceful hamlet. The phrase ‘Jaye Nadaun, toe wapas Aaye Kaun‘ describes the little-reaction history of this town. It was also known for an old wooden bridge over the river Beas, called ‘Kishtiyon Wala Pul” for crossing over to ancient Jwalamukhi Mandir.
Vijay Agnihotri of BJP addressed many public and nukkad meetings in his constituency Nadaun on Monday. He had large gatherings at Kothi, Dangri, Badwal, Bhadroh (near Maan Pul), Kitpal, and many villages where he got sumptuous praise for his hard work and concern for their woes. PM Modi’s strong and decisive leadership in punishing Pakistan through Strategic strike and bombing of terrorist camps at Balakot in Pakistan, after cunning neighbor’s misdeeds in Uri Army camp. gets huge praise. Modi’s leadership got special mention over the return of our brave pilot Abhinandan Singh by Pakistan within 2 days at Balakot.
Village Pradhans and veterans also praised Modi Govt. for taking up Hindu’s cultural issues and Sanatan Dharam as a priority during BJP’s 8-year rule especially construction of Ram Mandir, Kadar Nath and Kashi Vishwanath corridor.
Vijay is contesting from his traditional home constituency for 3rd time (though he had bad luck twice), after having worked tirelessly for the last 5 years. He lost in 2017 to his rival Sukhvinder Singh ‘Sukhu’ of Congress by a few votes, yet he didn’t sit back in sulk. He kept connected with his area constituents, helping them solve their problems, be it Covid-19 hospitalization, kit or isolation beds in Panchayats.
In 2017 his party BJP formed the govt. under CM Jaram Thakur, yet he lost the contest. He undertook the onus to help area residents get benefits of state and Central govt schemes like Ujjwala Gas Yojna, HimCare Card, Kisan Samman Nidhi, Senior Citizen pension, Sukannya Yojana and other Women’s welfare schemes.
Vijay Agnihotri was also appointed as Chairman of Himachal Road Transport Corpn. and he undertook to streamline transport network in the state. Many new long routes were started from area towns viz., Jwalamukhi-Nadaun to Vrindavan, Nadaun- Chandigarh route and short routes connecting Kangoo-Nadaun-Barsar, etc. by HRTC immediately on the public demand to facilitate local population reach their choice destinations conveniently.
Though Congress’ Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is putting all efforts to woo voters and offering jobs, doles; yet assessing from the public mood and affection of voters, Vijay Agnihotri has a fair chance of winning the Assembly seat this time.
