Himachal govt committed towards welfare of employees: CM Jairam
Shimla: HP Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the State government has cleared and fulfilled various dues and demands of the government officers and officials keeping in view the important role and participation of government officials in the process of progress and development of the state despite the Covid pandemic.
Chief Minister was addressing a largely attended gathering of employees here at Kangra on the occasion of Mukhya Mantri Ki Ek Shaam, Kangra Ke Karamchariyon Ke Naam.
The Chief Minister also thanked the employees of Himachal Pradesh who played their key role to pave and shape the progress and prosperity of the state. He said employees had constantly contributed since the formation of Himachal Pradesh.
Thakur said the State government was committed to the welfare of the employees adding that the previous government had never been sympathetic in providing various economic benefits to the employees.
He assured that the government would sympathetically consider the appropriate demands of NHM employees. The government in its cabinet meeting had recently taken a decision to benefit SMC teachers, he added.
The Chief Minister also announced Rs. 3 crores for the construction of residential accommodations for class III and IV employees in Kangra to meet the shortage of facility of government accommodation.
While welcoming the Chief Minister, Vice Chairman State Employees and Pensioners Welfare Board Ghanshyam Sharma said the Jai Ram Thakur-led state government had fulfilled the long pending demands despite unprecedented challenges of the Covid pandemic.
MLA Kangra Pawan Kajal, MLA Dharamshala Vishal Nehria, State NGO President Ashwani Thakur, President NGO district Kangra Ajay Khatta, President Zilla Parishad Kangra Ramesh Brar, Chairman State Basket Ball Association Munish Sharma, District BJP president Chander Bhushan Nag, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nipun Jindal was also present on the occasion.
