Rourkela: Bengal Tigers triumphed 3-2 over Hyderabad Toofans in a thrilling match of the Hockey India League, with goals from Jugraj Singh (9′), Sukhjeet Singh (20′), and Affan Yousuf (36′). Hyderabad responded with Timothy Daniel (41′) and Arthur de Sloover (59′).

In the second match, Soorma Hockey Club edged Tamil Nadu Dragons 4-1 in a shootout after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
