High profile accused Swapna Suresh faints, taken to hospital

Palakkad: Accused in diplomatic gold smuggling case Swapna Suresh was admitted to a hospital after she fainted while talking to media persons here on Saturday evening.
Swapna Suresh, who broke down in tears alleged that Shaj Kiran told her in advance that PS Sarith will be taken into custody and her advocate R Krishna Raj will be charged with allegations of creating enmity between religious groups through social media.
Though cases were charged against PS Sarith and her advocate, the police failed to file cases against Shaj Kiran, who tarnished the image of the Chief Minister, CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and the ADGP Vigilance and the ADGP Law and Order.
While talking to newsmen, she fell unconscious on the floor due to epilepsy. Later, she was taken to the nearest hospital.
She alleged that the entire State administration is being misused to attack her after she gave the 164 statements against the Kerala Chief Minister and his family.
On Friday, she released an audio clip of her conversation with Shaj Kiran who allegedly asked her to withdraw her 164 statements against the CM and his family.
She alleged that she was mentally tortured by Shaj Kiran.
In the audio clip, Shaj Kiran allegedly claimed about foreign investments of CPI(M) State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and Chief Minister Pinarayi, whose funds were routed to America through the Believers Church, which lost its registration recently under the Foreign Currency Regulation Act (FCRA).
She alleged that Shaj Kiran persuaded her to withdraw her 164 statements against the Chief Minister’s family members including his wife and daughter.
She alleged that Shaj Kiran had referred the names of ADGP (Vigilance) MR Ajith Kumar and ADGP (Law and Order) Vijay Sakhare, their phone calls and WhatsApp messages seeking the withdrawal of her statement to protect the Chief Minister in the case.
On June 7, 2022, in a major embarrassment for the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) Government in Kerala, Swapna Suresh revealed the names of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his wife Kamala and their daughter Veena in her 164 statements, relating to the gold smuggling case, given before a Judicial Class I Magistrate Court in Ernakulam.
