High-priority Naxal slain in Chhattisgarh
Sukma (Chhattisgarh): A Maoist – on whom a reward of Rs 5 lakh had been announced – was neutralized on Friday during a half-hour-long gun-battle between rebels and a District Reserve Guard patrol at Borapara forest within Gadiras Police Station limits of this restive district in Left-wing extremism-affected Bastar division.
“The ultras were lying in ambush; the personnel returned fire. The deceased was identified as Malger Area Committee Member Kamlesh. A pistol and explosives were seized,” IG (Bastar Range) Sundarraj Pattilingam confirmed. (UNI)
