HDFC Bank Q1 net profit rises 29% at Rs 12,370 crore.
Its quarterly revenue grew to Rs 61,021 crore from Rs 44,202 crore.
MUMBAI: HDFC Bank, the largest private sector lender, recorded a 29.13 percent increase in June quarter consolidated net profit to Rs 12,370.38 crore on Monday.
The bank, which recently absorbed HDFC into itself, earned a net profit of Rs 9,579.11 crore in the year-ago period and Rs 12,594.47 crore in the March quarter.
Its quarterly revenue grew to Rs 61,021 crore from Rs 44,202 crore.
According to a regulatory filing, operating expenses increased to Rs 15,177 crore from Rs 11,355 crore in the previous quarter.
As of June 30, 2023, the gross non-performing assets ratio was 1.17 percent, up from 1.12 percent in March and 1.28 percent a year earlier.
At 1307 hours, HDFC Bank was up 0.60 percent at Rs 1,657 on the BSE, compared to 0.39 percent for the benchmark.
