Haryana IAS officer Prashant Panwar appointed as Deputy Secretary at Centre
Chandigarh; Prashant Panwar has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Coal under the Central Staffing Scheme, following approval by the competent authority. A 2015-batch IAS officer of the Haryana cadre, Panwar, will serve in the position for a period of four years from the date he assumes charge, or until further orders.

He has been directed to be relieved from his current responsibilities at the earliest to take up his new assignment in New Delhi.
As per existing guidelines, the officer is required to join within three weeks of the issuance of the appointment order, failing which debarment proceedings under the Central Staffing Scheme may be initiated.
