Haryana govt forms Covid emergency loan funding worth Rs 500 Cr
Chandigarh, May 29 (UNI) Haryana Industries and Commerce Director General Dr Saket Kumar on Saturday informed that the state government has constituted Rs 500 crore towards Covid emergency loan scheme for new and old entrepreneurs supplying medicines, oxygen and other medical facilities to Covid-19 patients.
Stating this during ASSOCHAM’s webinar on interaction with Haryana DG I&C, Dr Kumar also assured that the government will consider ASSOCHAM’S demand for auto renewal of licenses.
“Haryana is also in the process of notifying the Oxygen Production Policy to augment and facilitate the Medical Oxygen manufacturing facilities in the State. Under the Policy, the industries involved in production of medical oxygen and related equipment will be able to claim Capital subsidy at the rate of 30 per cent upto Rs 75 crore,” Dr Kumar said.
The DG I&C also said curbs on the trade and industries will also go down in Haryana amid the decline in the Corona virus cases in the state.
Earlier, the webinar began with the welcome address by ASSOCHAM Haryana State Development Council Chairman Vijay Sharma after which prominent ASSOCHAM members raised their respective concerns related to trade and industry in front of the DG Industries and Commerce.
Dr Saket Kumar addressed all the issued raised by the members and assured them full support and cooperation in future as well.
ASSOCHAM Haryana State Development Council Chairman and Jindal Stainless Steel Director Vijay Sharma mentioned that Haryana was indeed among the states that handled the first and second waves of the pandemic very well and ensured that businesses remained operational.
ASSOCHAM Haryana State Council Co-Chairman and Resurgent India Limited Managing Director Jyoti Prakash Gadia said, “MSMEs need a package for its revival after being badly affected due to pandemic and lockdown”.
