Hamirpur: Thirty-four Cong leaders seek party tickets
Hamirpur (HP): Thirty-four Congress party leaders have applied for the party tickets from five assembly seats of the Hamirpur district for which today was the last day for filing the applications through their district bodies.
Rajendra Zar, the district Congress party chief said that the maximum number of twenty-one applications had come from Hamirpur seats, followed by Bhoranj with ten applications. One person has filed their applications for Nadaun, Sujanpur, and Badsar seats respectively.
He said that all three MLAs have filed their applications at the state office of the party at Shimla.
He said that the way a large number of party leaders had applied for the ticket proved that BJP was moving out and party cadre had united under one banner to bring the party back to power. (UNI)
