Sainipura : Tension gripped Sainipura village in Hansi after unidentified assailants opened fire in broad daylight on Tuesday. According to eyewitnesses, three men arrived on a motorcycle and fired multiple shots near the village entrance, causing panic among the locals. Fortunately, no casualties were reported, but the brazen act has left the community shaken.

The attack bore striking resemblance to a similar incident that occurred five years ago in the same village. That past attack also involved unidentified gunmen firing indiscriminately, leading to serious injuries to a local resident. Though police had launched an investigation then, no conclusive arrests were made. The recurrence of violence has now raised serious questions about the security situation in the area.

Locals say that the three attackers didn’t speak or confront anyone directly. Instead, they stopped briefly near a grocery shop, pulled out firearms, and started shooting in the air before quickly fleeing the scene. Their faces were covered with scarves, and they headed toward the nearby fields after the act. The incident has sparked fear among the villagers, many of whom locked themselves indoors following the gunfire.

Police reached the spot soon after receiving a distress call and began an investigation. Forensic teams have collected shell casings and are analyzing CCTV footage from nearby shops and houses to trace the assailants. Officials have also deployed additional police forces to maintain law and order in the area.

Superintendent of Police, Hansi, stated that they are probing all angles, including personal enmity and previous disputes. The police have urged people to come forward with any relevant information that might help in identifying the attackers. Meanwhile, political leaders have criticized the administration for failing to curb recurring violence in the region and demanded swift action.

Residents now live in fear of further attacks and are demanding increased police patrolling and the installation of surveillance systems in the village. The sense of déjà vu and the lack of resolution from the past incident have further fueled public outrage. As investigations continue, villagers hope that this time justice will be served and the culprits brought to book.
