German Liberals, Greens De Facto reject coalition with Christian Democrats – Soeder
"De facto, this is a rejection of 'Jamaica,'" Soeder said
Berlin, Oct 6 (UNI/Sputnik) Christian Social Union (CSU) leader and Bavarian Minister-President Markus Soeder told reporters that German liberals from the Free Democratic Party and the Greens de facto rejected the coalition with the Christian Democrats.
“De facto, this is a rejection of ‘Jamaica,'” Soeder said, commenting on earlier statements by the liberals and the Greens about the start of negotiations with the Social Democratic Party on the formation of a new government in Germany in a trilateral format.
Jamaica is a coalition government in Germany named for the colors of the Jamaica flag and the brand colors of the German parties. This coalition includes the CDU/CSU, liberals from the Free Democratic Party and Union 90/Greens.
