Gangsters Terrorize Ambala Narayangarh Hit Again..
Open firing in vegetable market sparks panic; trader threatened by armed miscreants…
Ambala : once again witnessed a terrifying incident as the town of Narayangarh was shaken by a fresh episode of gangster violence. On Friday morning, unidentified miscreants created panic by firing shots in the air at the busy local vegetable market, sending traders and customers into chaos. The shocking incident took place in broad daylight, exposing serious concerns regarding law and order in the region.
Eyewitnesses said that the assailants, believed to be part of a local extortion gang, arrived on motorcycles and fired several rounds in the air before directly threatening a well-known trader (aadhti) in the market. The trader was allegedly being pressurized for protection money, and the firing appears to be a warning act. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, but the psychological impact on the local community has been significant.
Local shopkeepers and vendors immediately downed their shutters and called the police. The attackers, however, had fled the scene before law enforcement could reach. Initial CCTV footage from the surrounding area has been recovered and is currently being examined to identify the culprits. The police have formed special teams and are investigating all angles, including gang rivalry and extortion threats.
Residents and business owners of Narayangarh are demanding stricter police action and increased patrolling, especially in market areas. They claim this is not the first time such an incident has occurred, and unless preventive measures are taken, the situation could escalate further.
Security in Ambala, particularly in Narayangarh, has been a concern over the past few months with rising incidents of gang-related violence. Local leaders and trade associations have raised the issue with district administration, requesting immediate and visible action to restore confidence among the people.
The police have assured that strict action will be taken and those responsible will be behind bars soon. Meanwhile, surveillance has been tightened in key commercial zones, and police presence has been increased temporarily in high-footfall areas.
