Gangster’s Jail Plot Foiled in Punjab

Shooter Sent to Avenge Mother’s Murder; US Link Exposed….

Punjab : In a dramatic breakthrough, Punjab Police successfully thwarted a deadly conspiracy hatched by notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s associate, Lawrence “Bhagwanpuria”, who attempted to avenge his mother’s murder from behind bars. The chilling plan, reportedly crafted inside Assam jail, involved hiring professional shooters and was funded from abroad—particularly the United States.

According to senior officials in the Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force, Bhagwanpuria had been obsessively seeking revenge for his mother’s killing. Determined to eliminate the man he believed responsible, he orchestrated an elaborate plot to assassinate the alleged murderer.

Investigations revealed that a substantial amount of money—believed to be routed from foreign-based sympathizers in the US—was funneled to pay for the execution. Police sources confirmed that the funding trail involved crypto transactions and hawala networks.

Two shooters were assigned the deadly task and had already begun surveillance on the target. However, thanks to intelligence inputs and covert tracking, Punjab Police intercepted the attackers before they could strike. Both shooters were apprehended with weapons and incriminating communication logs on them.

What’s even more alarming is how the plan was coordinated from inside Assam jail, where Bhagwanpuria is currently lodged. Using smartphones and coded messages relayed through outside aides, the gangster remained in control of the operation from his prison cell—highlighting the continuing issue of jail-based crime coordination.

The Punjab DGP commended the police team involved in cracking the plot and preventing a possible public shooting. He stressed that gangs operating from within prison walls remain a significant threat to public safety, and reforms in jail security are the need of the hour.

This incident has reignited the conversation around gangster networks extending beyond borders, using digital tools and international funding to carry out localized acts of violence. A probe is now underway to identify all individuals linked to this transnational crime, including those involved in funding and logistical support.

Authorities have assured the public that security agencies are actively monitoring high-risk gangsters and will not allow Punjab to return to a cycle of revenge killings and fear.
