Kolkata, Jan 25 (UNI) Former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on Tuesday refused the Padma Bhushan award, saying no one had told him anything about his selection for the honour. The senior CPI-M leader’s name figured in the list of Padma Bhushan awardees announced by the central government on the eve of Republic Day. Soon after, the ailing leader came up with a statement. “I know nothing about this award. No one has told me anything about it. If they have decided to offer Padma Bhushan to me, I refuse to accept it,” he said.
